Maronite Prayer in honor of the Holy Angels

August 4, 2017 by Fr. Ben Cameron Leave a Comment

I recently came across a beautiful prayer relating to the Holy Angels in the Maronite Catholic Divine Liturgy:

“Glory to you, O Radiant Light. You brought joy to the world by your incarnation and gave light to all in heaven and on earth with your spiritual light. We praise you with the angels in heaven.
Now, O Jesus Christ our Lord, we ask you, with the fragrance of this incense, to send us angels of peace, messengers of your divine will, guardians to protect us from evil, shepherds to guide us on the right path leading us to do good, companions on the road, and protectors of churches, monasteries and convents. May we continue to walk in your light, that with the angels we may praise and glorify you, your Father, and your Holy Spirit, for ever. Amen.”
