Bishop Ricken joins our Advisory Board!

May 26, 2011 by Fr. Ben Cameron 1 Comment

Bishop David Ricken, of the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin, has joined the Bishop’s Advisory Board of the Confraternity of Our Lady of Mercy.  Bishop Ricken has been a friend of the Fathers of Mercy since he gave our annual retreat in 2004.  He has just recently given the Church’s approval to the first and only approved Marian apparition in the United States at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in the Green Bay diocese.  We welcome this holy bishop to our Advisory Board!

We have also had four monasteries of nuns who have joined us as Special Prayer Partners — we now have the prayer support of 14 religious communities of sisters (13 cloistered communities, and one active community).  In addition to all of this prayer power from the nuns, we now have the mutual prayer support of our 3 bishops, 2 priests/spiritual directors, and 45 lay members, including members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
